Tired eyes gaze into the foggy ceiling. Strange sounds emanate from the shadows. All around - silence howling into the night. And there’s still no sleep. The consciousness is begging for escape, but insomnia has clenched its jaws, further erasing the line between dream and reality.

Insomnia is a new project by Studio 43’oz. The vivid, colorful, and slightly surreal design of this series is rather different from what the local consumer is used to seeing on a wine label.

It’s here, in this borderland, where one can sometimes find some of the strangest and unexpected splashes of subconsciousness, tearing their way as vivid images into the real world. One of such images has served as the basis for the design of our studio’s signature wine series.

At the heart of Insomnia's packaging design is a butterfly, varnished with more than 20 variations, superlatively layered on a woman's face. Further amplifying the surreal feel of the label gives Insomnia a modern, unusual look.
